This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an inquisitive group of 8 year olds who love coming to school each day. They especially love hands-on activities that require lots of extra supplies, but provide them with lots of fun learning. I thought to myself why not combine STEAM with Grinch Day for a whole lot of fun!

This project means that my students will be able to rotate through various hands-on centers that will provide them with a full day of STEAM activities all themed around The Grinch.

We will read the books and then students will be able to create 3D art with the fillable ornament, solve math problems, and create a Christmas tree and presents for the sweet Cindy Lou out of the playdough. It will be a truly remarkable way to head into our winter break.
