My Students

The students at my school come from an underprivileged neighborhood where one hundred percent of them receive free or reduced-price lunch. Violence and negligence are daily occurrences in our neighborhood, yet they come to school each day determined to succeed. My students do not have much, and our athletic programs have even less. My players come to practice every day and display resilience and an attitude to succeed. They inspire me each and every day to push them harder toward their dreams. Your help will make our players feel good and represent our school well when we travel to and compete against, the schools in our league!

My Project

I am attempting to create a new academic and extracurricular program at the school that focuses on STEAM education and multimedia education. The students will be able to develop videos, short films and still shots. The program will teach web design, coding, photography, videography and editing.

We will be giving students STEAM education with real life skills that will help them create job opportunities now and in the future.

What we are requesting is a GoPro camera and equipment necessary to get this project started including but not limited to , a tripod, lens filters, and tripod accessories. The students will be able to utilize all of this equipment on a daily basis in class and after school. The development of a program such as this could give the students a chance to gain knowledge that would otherwise not be available to them during high school.
