My Students

My students are 5th-6th graders at a rural/suburban school in southern Louisiana. They are the sweetest bunch of children you will ever meet and are eager to learn.

Our students take pride in our library, and I strive to make it the heart of the school for my students.

We have little funding options for materials and rely heavily on grants and donations to fund our projects.

Please help me give these students the very best that they deserve by providing us with materials to make our library program the very best.

My Project

Our students need a few Zoomy handheld microscopes for our STEAM program and science curriculum. All 700+ students at our school will use these during science class, free STEM time at recess, and during our STEAM program.

We will use these digital microscopes to ZOOM in for a closeup of a variety of materials that will be displayed on our large TV, interactive flat-screen panel, and several laptops.

The students will get a close up look at objects such as rice, pennies, sand, their fingernails, and more! These microscopes will make a great enhancement to our many library programs!
