Help me give my students mini vibration motors, dowel rods, glue sticks, magnet kits, batteries, and other STEAM materials for engineering challenges and inquiry-based learning!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are constantly doing various engineering challenges and science experiments in the classroom to provide authentic learning experiences. I serve a diverse group of students who are eager to learn through exploration - gifted, ESOL, general education. My students are always up to any type of engineering or scientific challenges.
The goal of this project is to create more opportunities for my students to engage in hands-on inquiry-based learning that will guide them through the scientific method and engineering design process.
Students will engage in bridge building, making mini greenhouses, modeling complex topics, experiments, etc. Students will also work towards making solutions for real-world problems by engaging in national and international competitions.
The requested materials will help make learning fun through STEAM. They will also help in teaching my students about STEAM careers while making it fun.
