This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Makerspace teacher, I have the pleasure of watching my students grow. In Makerspace, I empower my students to "think outside the box". We focus on STEAM or Science technology Engerniring Art and Math.

My students are creative, energetic, and eager to try new things.

We are an ACE (Accelerated Campus Excellence) school, focusing on social-emotional learning, relationships, positivity, collaboration, and trust. They learn through exploration and play, which promotes innovation and critical thinking.

My Project

We will be learning about magnets in Makerspace. From kinder through 5th grade, I will be incorporating these items into my STEAM centers.

STEAM activities developed skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication.

Students will plan, design, and create, magnetic marble runs and mazes.

Most products will come from recycled materials such as water bottles, cardboard, and magazines but I can't reuse the tape. Magnetic sets will be used primarily for the lower grades; kinder and first, who will use them for exploration purposes. Students will have to collaborate and brainstorm together to complete their "missions"
