My Students
We are a school in an urban area. Many of our students don't have the basic necessities to come to school or the means to purchase necessary supplies.
At our school, we often give out vouchers for free school uniforms because parents cannot afford to purchase uniforms.
We have given out book bags filled with supplies to the majority of our students so that they can have their basic classroom needs met. Other students may start with materials but lose track of them due to many housing moves throughout the year.
My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with a meaningful learning experience.
My Project
My students need an iPad so that they can access the exciting resources and apps that will help them with their math fluency. The tablet will also allow my students to do research on their science projects that we do in class. Their are various apps
My students will use technology to practice basic math fact fluency skills, and to conduct research on our science topics in class.
There are many different opportunities available to my learners through apps and the world wide web.
This tablet will change the dynamics in my classroom and I will be able to reach my students in a different way.
