My Students

I teach STEAM to some of the most creative, curious, and innovative students. All of my students are on free lunches. Outside of school, most of the students' lives are affected by the injustice of poverty. My goal is to provide tech experiences to our students to promote 21st century learning and skills with STEAM.

My students are very innovative and creative individuals.

Students in our district often have limited technology experience. My students will begin to discover and cultivate their creativity as they begin to apply their unique gifts and talents and allow them to become the innovators and global leaders of tomorrow with the stories they will be able to create and tell.

My Project

Working in a K-8 school, our students face poverty and limitation in technology and resources. However, my Special Education students are the ones who face these problems more than any other. Having brilliant minds and creative imagination, they are limited on how to express them inside the classroom.

I have recently begun STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & mathematics) projects with our SpED students.

With the amazing resources and tools, we are sadly lacking in the various devices that will bring my students into a whole new world. My students need two iPad minis to work with our resources that will bring their learning to the next level.

My students are some of the most artistic and creative students I have come to experience in the last five years of teaching. Having the ability to express their artistic creativity with iPad minis and our other resources that are usually only available to other classrooms will really ignite their innovation and make them the global leaders of tomorrow.
