This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are such a wonderful group of six-year-olds. They come to school every day eager to learn and love coming to class each day. Some don't even want to go home at the end of the day. My students come from homes where access to technology is limited. Most come from low-income homes and owning books, educational material, computers, etc is rare. They are intelligent children who are fully capable of succeeding and being an asset to their community if we provide them with the tools necessary and guide them in the right direction. For this reason, I as a teacher, need to be able to provide them with the support they need.

If we want students to succeed academically, we must provide the resources they need to be successful.

My Project

Students will use Osmo in a unique way. They will have the opportunity to not just use technology, but interact with it and watch their creations come to life.

When we provide students with the resources they need, the sky is the limit to them.

Students will learn to use "detective" skills to carefully look for objects/locations while using map skills, geography, reading and technology all in one. The Disney Osmo programs allows them to create stories using familiar characters and make them come to life right before their eyes. The creativity such a program will allow them to do is exciting.
