My Project
This project will help my students S.T.E.A.M. their way to higher achievement and engagement. This project will engage the students in Literary Engineering and show them that S.T.E.(A)M is cross-curricular and can be applied to any content area.
The students, after reading a text, will determine the problem to be solved, then use the engineering design process to come up with a solution.
Students are then tasked with designing and creating a solution to the problem that will work. The goal is to create a working solution. The 3D pens will aid my students in creating their solution to the problem.
What I love most about 6th graders is that they really want to learn, and they love opportunities to demonstrate their creativity. They also want learning to be fun and engaging; this project checks all the boxes and addresses all learning styles.
