My Students

What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word "math." Most American's do not like mathematics and that is my goal as a middle level math teacher to engage their interest at a young age to able to apply math to real life application. In order to make that a success comes expense. This is my 7th year in the district and buy a lot of supplies from my own pocket. However, this is getting hard to do now that I have a family to support.

Students are the future generation!

As educators, it is our responsibility that students enjoy learning and understand and apply their learning to life around them. We do a lot of hands-on activities throughout the year. One example is Jurassic Park day. I had transformed by classroom into Jurassic Park and had bought several materials to make that doable. When students entered the room, they saw dinosaur decals, cages, volcanoes, waterfalls, etc.

I would love to continue to do these engaging lessons. Unfortunately, that comes with a cost. I hope you consider me for a possible grant. Students should feel excited about "math"!

My Project

The supplies will allow students to fully engage in their learning by creating hands-on activities that involves all different content. Education is the basis for students' future and it is my job to bring learning to life. The students will be utilizing all the resources in this bundle to create real-life example and apply concrete understanding of mathematics.

STEAM is a new and rapid curriculum and is being implemented in the core subjects.

As an educator, is it my goal to make engage and fun for students. By having these supplies, it will allow to students to create STEAM projects throughout the year.
