Help me give my students 2 Osmo bases for my iPad minis and a variety of Osmo manipulative kits to help them learn coding, math, and spelling in an interactive way.
I have the most amazing students! We are a Title 1 school with students from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
One of the best things about first graders is that they love to learn!
Each year, my approximately 25 energetic and fun first grade students' favorite memories include daily read alouds, literacy and math stations, STEM projects and experiments, singing, dancing, and a variety of different art and writing projects. How cool that their favorite memories include so much learning!
My Project
Osmo Starter Kits and Coding Tools transform iPads into tactile tools that allow students to actively engage in the learning process.
Imagine a tool that blends the technology that students love with hands-on manipulatives that encourage students to work together, think creatively, problem solve, grow and learn.
Now imagine that tool in the hands of small groups of students during math and reading stations. The requested kits include the Osmo base necessary for use with my iPad minis as well as the manipulatives needed for the free Osmo apps that students can use to build words, solve tangram puzzles, manipulate addition and subtraction problems, and use computer coding. My own children have been playing with Osmo at home this summer and I am so excited to share it with my classroom of first graders!
