This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students love to hang out in the library. Before school and now during our recess. Students are able to go to the library to check out books and do quiet activities. Being a STEAM school it is only appropriate that our library has a makerspace for students to do quiet activites with a STEAM focus.
STEM games, K'nex, and legos will give students activities to do in the library that challenge them and keep them thinking.
The legos and K'nex will allow students to engineer buildings, structures, and even vehicles. The games and puzzles will keep their brains engaged while also giving them activities to collaborate with their peers.
This project will help us jump start our library makerspace and give our students STEAM related activities to engage with in their down time.
