Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 4th grade students are ready to become young engineers, designers, and changemakers! This STEAM project empowers 180 curious and creative students to explore the essential question: "How can we use our knowledge of simple machines to improve and advocate for our local and school community?"

Through hands-on investigations, real-world problem-solving, and collaborative design challenges, students will learn how simple machines work—and how they can be used to create meaningful change.

Whether it's designing a tool to help our custodians, building a prototype for our school garden, or crafting accessible solutions for our community, these young innovators will apply science, technology, engineering, art, and math in powerful, practical ways.

Your support will provide the materials needed for students to research, build, test, and present their unique solutions. With your help, our classroom will become a hub of creativity and civic action—where students learn not just about machines, but about their own ability to make a difference.
