My Project

My 2nd graders are explorers, questioners, and builders. When they can have hands on experiences, their brains have a much easier avenue to grasping concepts. These materials will allow many of them to unlock place value knowledge, landform knowledge, science knowledge and exposure to art. Picture students working in small group stations and rotate throughout.

My learners deserve to experience hands on learning!

Help this teacher give that to her 25 incredible students. You will help me create memories that last a lifetime, and cement this learning in their young minds!

The items in the project have a few categories. Math materials to make math visual including: place value blocks (one's cubes, ten rods, and hundreds flats), dry erase number lines to help with double digit addition, magnetic base ten blocks for the whiteboard for group problem solving, laminated hundreds charts and a flip board with ideas for numbers to "build." Science materials including clay to construct landforms, clear marbles to represent water in those landscapes, and marble runs for our force and motion unit, and Lego baseplates for across all Science units! We also would love water color paper to showcase their amazing painting abilities, all wrapped up with baskets to keep items visible and organized for easy and consistent access!
