This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need great books to learn about science. We study amazing things in fourth grade and we need thrilling literature for children to become immersed in their learning. For some of the topics we study, the students can walk outside and explore on their own.

Students need to be able to hold the books and read about these amazing phenomena!

Our science focuses on weathering and erosion. We will be learning about how water can change Earth. We also talk about freshwater vs. salt water and which one we can drink.

We will also be studying the weather this year! We will learn about all the different kinds of weather and how to build weather tools. The books and science kits are an inspiring way to introduce the effects and impact of weather on our environment.
