Help me give my students the fun experience of painting without all the mess real paint can cause. I love a mess but not paint getting on my student's clothes, desks, etc. These are awesome for firsties!
My first grade students are eager learners who are ready to explore and create and are excited to learn! They are excited about school and love to be able to learn while using their critical thinking skills.
They have grown up in a technologically savvy world and are ready to embrace the changes and challenges that technology brings.
I love how we can incorporate technology into our reading and math daily lessons, not overusing one but combining them all together to give the students the best opportunity while engaging them in learning. When I can combine art and technology I am really on cloud nine, as are my students!
I also love how creative first grade minds are and I want to encourage my students to stay creative and continue to think outside of the box. I believe this will aid them as they grow and learn throughout their educational lives. I try to incorporate many STEM/STEAM activities throughout the month and I am always amazed at the thinking, the collaborating and the creativity that they come up with when there are criteria they need to meet but no directions on how they have to meet it.
My Project
I am asking for help in purchasing tempera paint stix for my first graders. I have used them in the past and the kids love them! They can mix them and create different hues of colors and they are easy to uncap, twist and paint without brushes and water. The paint dries in 90 seconds and its an awesome thing to use with STEAM projects. My class doesn't get a regular art class so I try to incorporate as much art as I can in other areas such as science and STEAM projects. The kids love showing off their creations on their lockers and through Seesaw. Also, holding the Kwik Stix helps as they continue to grow their hand-eye coordination and kinesthetic senses.
