This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our elementary school has just become a "STEAM" school. Art has always been a "STEAM" area because it includes science, math, engineering and technology. Art is a wonderful subject because it can provide many interdisciplinary connections across the board. It enriches the lives of those who enjoy it.

My students are elementary art students who love to express themselves using art media of any sort.

Our school is Title One and in a very impoverished area of a large city. The parents are new to our country and very eager for their children to get a good education.

My Project

I am requesting a Delphi EZ Pro Kiln that I can use for both glass fusing and ceramics in my art classes. This would enable us to have interdisciplinary projects with both science and art. My students love creating in clay and often want to make small ornaments. My older students would benefit from learning how to fuse glass. And, it will provide the opportunity for my older students to get more practice and develop their skills for creating in multiple content areas.

This project for the Delphi EZ Pro Kiln will help fuel our "steam" initiative in our school.

This is a smaller universal kiln, that will run on regular classroom 110 voltage for clay and glass projects. Steam Art students will benefit from both science and art interdisciplinary practical studies. I hope you will consider donating to us.
