This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Contrary to popular belief, Los Angeles does experience cold weather. During the winter months the temperature can hit as low as 40 degrees, yes we know that this is not that cold to residents in other states, non the less it is cold for us Angelenos.

I would love to receive warm pullover hoodie sweaters for my students who are part of the student council.

The sweaters will be decorated with our school name and mascot.

The council members are so motivated to wear the school colors on Fridays that they don't want to wear jackets or sweaters on top of their shirts. If we can provide them with school sweaters, they will be warm and fulfill their goal of promoting school spirit. The students feel that by promoting school spirit, the entire student body will feel a sense of unity and community. Help my student council students promote unity and pride in their school during the cold months.
