This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school is a middle city school with many different economic and cultural backgrounds.

My students are asked to provide supplies which might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.

My Project

My students have a lot of wants and needs. A few of them have so many its hard to find the items they really need to help them. This year I have a few students who have come to school without proper clothing for the few wet and or cold days we get a year. As winter approaches I would like to be able to provide my students with some of those things.

I am asking for a few rain jackets, hoodies, hats, and gloves for a few of my students who are in definite need.

My goal is to keep the rain jackets handy for rainy days since we are in the portables at our school. The hats and hoodies would be given to the 4 students I have identified who really need them to keep at home. The gloves would be used for my students who have to run errands during the cold days of school. Please help my students stay warm and dry this summer.
