This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of amazing students, most of whom are English language learners. Our school focuses on providing our students with positive learning experiences that can create true love for learning. I want to give them the skills they need to be successful not only in school but in their own community. My scholars are resilient, curious, and have a desire to learn. I am confident that, if given more exposure to the opportunities not always readily available to them, they would be able to shine and make positive choices towards their future.

My Project

A room purifier and filters will give my students a breath of fresh air, especially during the cold and flu season. Our building is outdated and an air purifier will keep us healthy as we continue learning throughout this global health threat.

With this pandemic, the health and safety of my students have become my priority.

When students return to the classroom, they need to have the assurance that my classroom is a safe place for them to continue learning. Students need a safe place to learn and be successful.
