This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are autistic and have severe learning difficulties. Most of their learning is done using technology and hands-on activities to help relieve their anxiety. They enjoy doing most of their work on their iPad. My students are hands-on learners who want to stay busy​ while having fun.

We are located in a high-poverty area.

My students are from different grade levels from kindergarten to fifth grade this year. Every day with my students is an extra day full of many surprises.

My Project

I would love to get more cleaning supplies for our students and masks that they can wear as an option to keep safe from germs.

Keeping our desk and work areas sanitized is essential in keeping our students well.

We clean our desks multiple times a day and spray when necessary on our chairs, etc. Masks are currently optional in our school and a lot of our students are choosing to want to wear them. Sometimes the masks they bring from home will break, or get dirty and need to be changed out during the day.
