This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What can I say, but that the children are great. Sure most are economically disadvantaged and will lack many of the basics to begin the new school year but they come with smiles.
Many children will returned to learning in school and will need supplies to begin the year.
Some children will have concerns about having everything needed to start school and may be a little concerned.
The children are eager to learn and you guessed it, get back to reading and math routines.
My Project
The little scholars will be returning to the classroom and many will need a few things to keep organized.
The school boxes will help the boys and girls stay organized.
The children's pencils, scissors, colors, and various school items will be in one safe little school box.
Some will need binders to keep their assignments neatly organized. The children will have index cards with high frequency words and letters so the index box holder will really keep them organized.
Stress balls are super to reduce any anxiety the boys and girls may have as they return to learning in the classroom.
We need to preserve the children's learning posters. The laminating sheets will keep the children's assignment posters clean, crisp, and tidy.
Last, is the mirrors. They are needed so the children can observe their mouths as they pronounce the letter sounds during phonological awareness. This will help them observe the sounds they are making and begin the reading processes.
