Established in 1979, our school provides educational and support services for children with hearing or vision loss in our school system. Some of the students have additional challenges that magnify the impact of the vision or hearing loss. Each of the students has special needs and requires extensive technology and assistance to succeed in a school setting.
Students attend classes at one of three locations: the elementary, middle, or high school campus.
In addition, itinerant services are provided throughout our county for students whose disability is not severe enough to require full-time placement at one of the campuses. Services are also provided in several area counties.
We recently received a wonderful new water fountain with a water bottle refilling station thanks to wonderful donors like you from DonorsChoose.org!
The water bottles will encourage the students to stay hydrated throughout the school year!
The water bottles will be distributed throughout the school to our students, so they will have a reusable bottle throughout the school year! The water bottles will not only help keep the students hydrated, but decrease the plastic waste from water bottles that are not made to be reused! Having these water bottles in the classroom, filled with water, will allow the students quick access to filtered water whenever they need to take a quick sip. This will allow the students to stay in the classroom instead of having to leave to go to the water fountain!
The vinyl pack will be used to place the students' names on the new water bottles, so they will know which is theirs!
We are so excited about our new water fountain and want our students to learn about making healthy choices, not only for their body, but for the environment!
