My Students

My wonderful students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures. Many of my students speak a second language. They have many different learning styles, challenges, and needs. Many of them do not have access to the simple tools that they need to be successful, such as books.

They are extremely excited to come to school each day and eager to learn all that is taught to them.

It is important that the classroom has all the tools that they need.

My Project

Keeping students fit and healthy is important to their learning. They need "brain breaks" to stay focused throughout the day. Having access to various playground balls, including four square balls and basketballs, is not only fun but it builds good peer relations through teamwork.

My students love being active and I want to provide a variety of activities for them to choose from.

I chose items that could be used outside and items like indoor snowballs and a limbo game for those rainy days when we cannot get outside. Staying active is crucial to having an overall healthy and balanced lifestyle.
