This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As B.B. King once said, "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it from you." My sixth grade students are showered every day with reminders that their learning is important and matters.

Regardless of the challenges they face, my students are a group of enthusiastic learners eager to be challenged with new information.

My students do not complain about not having an abundance of resources at their fingertips. As their teacher, my goal is to provide them with continued learning in school and in their homes. My students inspire me to create ample learning opportunities. They shine with the desire to learn and have inquisitive minds asking for more information.

My Project

My students do not think of hygiene as a necessity for school. My students do not use deodorant, lotion, and moisturizing hand soap. They also do not seek for tissue to keep there nose clear of mucus, nor do they brush their teeth daily. It is also important for me to have feminine sanitary pads.

My goal is to provide hygiene necessities at school in order for my students to be presentable and ready to learn at school.

Sometimes students have what they need at home however may forget to take care of their hygiene. Or it is possible that many students do not have the means to get products they need.
