This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will encourage my students to stay more active at recess and to interact with peers in a healthy and fun way. The cart will be the perfect size for students to push in and out of our building with ease and it will hold the games, balls, jumprope, and other outside equipment such as the parachute, balancing stilts, and toss and catch ball games . The recess balls will provide students hours of fun playing four square, basketball, or soccer. Jumpropes and swing balls will allow student to continue to practice jumping and other tricks that they have been learning in P.E.
By staying active and engage in healthy and fun games at recess, students will have so many health benefits such as coordination, flexibility, cognitive performance, gross motor skills, which has been proven to increase concentration, improve memory and classroom behavior.
It also encourage students to interact with peers, build friendships, and overall, better mental health.
