My Students

My students are absolutely amazing! They are in a Chinese immersion program. Each day they come to school ready to learn with smiles on their faces.

My students are highly motivated learners who demonstrate a strong desire to learn.

They are learning Chinese, science, and math in Mandarin with me.

Less than 1% of our students are from Chinese native-speaking families. In other words, 99% of our students are not only learning the second language, but using the second language to learn other subjects such as math and science. Our classroom is the only place for them to learn the Chinese language and culture. We treasure the time we have at school.

My Project

It is still a hard year for students to learn during this school year. We would like to do more creative work to help students stay happy and engaging at school for the rest of the school year.

We need some coloring markers to give them a fun way to work on their Chinese writing and create an illustrator with a colorful drawing to keep students engaged during this school year.

It will also be a benefit to have a high-quality doc camera and wireless microphone to provide students with a clear view and sound while we do drawing lessons.

Air filter replacement becomes a need per school year now so some extra air filters will keep us safe throughout the school year.

Chinese yoyo will be a fun way to help students stay active during recess time and also learn a new sport.
