Help me give my students a healthy start to their day by enjoying some fun vigorous activities. My students will learn how to play together, take turns and share using this 4 ring basketball stand.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our students are loving, caring and energetic bunch of fun 3 and 4 year olds ready to learn, run and play!
They see the world as bright and beautiful, they love to play and make friends, they enjoy helping each other. Our students are 3K and Pre-K, diverse population of pre pandemic 3 and 4 year olds.
Our students are having difficulty socializing, interacting, and playing with peers. Due to the pandemic our students lack the stamina to continue in their play and tire easily. Providing our students with the needed guidance to learn how to take turns and share equipment it's an important skill that most of our students are lacking.
They haven't had much exercise in their lives due to the pandemic and the lockdowns. Our Students need incentives to help them get moving and build their stamina, and helping them fine tune their fine and gross motor skills is essential. Teaching them to share and take turns are important foundational skill that will help them as they move on to the higher grades. Let's get these students moving to a better, healthier lifestyle.
My Project
The materials I am requesting for my students will help build their stamina and increase their activity level in the gym. Students that are engaged in being active and having fun are less disruptive in class. All students need an outlet to release, or exert their energy to help them focus in the classroom. Our PreK Center gym could use some new and exciting materials to help our students stay healthy and energized throughout the day. All the students will benefit by learning how to play together, take turns and share materials. They will be actively engaged from the moment they enter the gym.
These materials will have my students active, excited, energized, and engaged in exploring the many different activities they can do and have fun!
I would love to turn the gym into an exciting room of adventure and fun. I could have at least four different areas to keep them engaged in fun, with the new equipment I would be able to set up the different areas for them to use their fine and gross motor skills, hand and eye coordination and play games where they could enhance their concentration. My students will have fun balancing on the beams, taking turns throwing the basketball into the hoops, going through the tunnels and just having fun running, playing and getting exercise. I want to be able to make their experience in the gym active, enjoyable and fun!
