Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love the fact that my students really love and enjoy coming to my class. They are into learning new things and everything that I bring to the table. Although they may not have all of the materials they need they still come ready and willing to learn. They are special because everyday they face adversity and everyday struggles. They have every reason to give up but they don't they still come and do the best that they can do. Many of them try to get involved in team sports but may not have the funds or proper attire to participate.

My Project

These shorts will alleviate the stress of some students who do not have the proper sports attire not have to worry about what they have on or fitting in because of what they don't have. They will have the confidence to do better and not worry about being teased about what they have on. A lot of females on campus want to participate in after school sports but some are embarrassed because they do not have the proper athletic wear to do so. By providing them atleast something to help them feel comfortable while trying to play will give them one less thing to worry about.
