This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an amazing class full of little learners. We are developing a lifelong love of learning, and habits that will last for the rest of our lives. We are a class of 24 low economic learners. We work hard and encourage each other. Our curriculum consists of a lot of social skills and problem solving.

We will be the students who change the world for the better.

We learn how to get along and how to work with others. We learn to solve problems through group work and strategies. We overcome very tough situations to work hard and be great students.

My Project

Technology is amazing. However it has caused a lot of problems with physical fitness. Children are not getting the exercise thy need for healthy bodies. My project is focused on getting students outside playing. We will use large eggs and spoons for relay races. We can have a fun circuit training by looking pictures and knowing which exercise to do. We can also play scoop ball with our friends.

Socialization is often overlooked in classrooms.

So many times the focus of school is academics, however students also need to learn social skills. Students need to cooperate with others. They need to learn that its okay not to win every game. These are often overlooked with children's faces being buried in video games. I would love to get our students outside playing together.
