My Project

In second grade students learn about how heat changes matter. I would love for student in my classroom to be able to explore this subject as they make chapstick. With the help of beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, essential oil, and containers students can explore what heat does to a solid.

Watching the materials melt then solidify to become a solid again can help students realize that physical changes are reversible.
