My Project
Fluency struggles are impacting middle schoolers from comprehending grade level material. Building fluency requires practice, coaching and feedback from others. Imagine the self awareness of giving yourself important feedback. Whisper Phones' auditory feedback strengthens decoding skills and improves prosody and comprehension.
Building fluency practice into reading instruction as well as independent practice will not only improve skills sets for all students, not just struggling ones, but teach skills of self reflection, self improvement and ideally motivation to continue to be life long learners.
A class set plus allows for inclusion and eliminates singling out any particular student who is struggling.
