Starting With The Basics :)

Help me give my students the materials they need to start the year off right. Many of my students are not able to bring their own supplies such as markers, construction paper, pencils, and white boards.

My Project

This year I have the privilege of working with students who are new to the United States.

Working with multilingual learners, some of who have interrupted or limited experience with formal education, I believe I will need supplies to encourage students to interact with content in creative ways.

This is why I have requested mini whiteboards, markers, and construction paper with the intention of developing projects to help students develop their English language skills. I also wanted students to come to class and not worry about if they are in a clean and well-supplied environment.

My ultimate goal is to ensure that my students do not need to worry about acquiring basic necessities and supplies so that they can focus on learning. I also want to create a sense of equality so that no matter what background my students come from, they will all have equal access to fundamental supplies.
