Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach special and general education to preschoolers at a Title I school in California. Although my class is very diverse, they all share one quality: the excitement and eagerness to learn new things.

Early education is very important to children because it helps build a strong foundation which they will need to thrive as they continue their educational journey.

Throughout the school year, my students have built strong characters and independence. It's rewarding to see how much they've developed and to know I am introducing the path to success.

My Project

The materials I added to this project will be used to aid my students fine motor and eye coordinance skills. The dot markers will be used to make dots on dots. The Pompons, which are bright colors and different textures will expose my students to identifying the color of pompon they pick up and it will increase their expressive language as they describe what they are crafting; as they will be prompted to use words to describe what they are feeling and what they are doing as they create their piece.

The materials ordered with this product will help the students expand their language as they create.

The students' literacy increases as they explain and describe their projects. After all, they are young children and will enjoy they pieces included in this project.
