My students need these books in order to begin the Pay It Forward program in our school. We are looking to start this program in our school community to promote kindness.

My Students

Our school is currently participating in an OLWEUS/Anti Bully program. Each year we look for new programs to encourage kindness for our students. We support weekly meetings and are always looking for new programs and materials to enhance the message of kindness.

Our student population is very diverse.

We have very wealthy to very poor families. We are trying to start with them in the schools to teach how paying it forward is important and how they can improve the greater community. We feel it starts with students in school and then the parents. This we hope will trickle out to the community at large.

My Project

We envision reading the book as a read aloud and creating activities to promote paying it forward. The students will engage in group discussions and buddy work. The book will be a platform for discussion. It will serve as an example of the idea behind paying it forward.

This donation will help improve the classroom environment.

We will be able to read, discuss, and reflect on the importance of paying it forward. We hope this project will spread kindness throughout the school. It will also allow students to listen to beautiful literature.
