This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting basic materials to start the year off right. I am requesting a yellow Homework folder for students to be able to take home homework as well and any important letters for parents. In addition, I am requesting teal folders with prongs to create a writing resource folder with an alphabet and word wall chart. Also, it's important to have good short pencils at the beginning of the year and then transition to the regular sized pencils. Furthermore, I asked for broad permanent markers that I can use to create awesome anchor charts in all subject area for the children. Finally, I'm asking for Play-Doh so they could improve their fine motor skills while still learning numbers and letters while they are having fun.
This project is important because it is the essentials for a classroom and for a successful school year!
Students have the right to have the basic necessities. This year I realized that it was hard for parents to buy many of the supplies I asked for. They buy the things they can. With this project, all my students will start off the same and those that can't bring in materials won't feel bad because their materials will all be equal. This project will help my students build their self esteem and have what they need to be successful!
