This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Going into my second year, it is clear that the students are going to need anything and everything in order to get ahead. After my first year because of the demographics and the area, added with some who have come from a different District, I want to ensure that my third graders coming up to 4th grade will get a head start on mastering material that they will soon see in 5th grade and reviewing material they are currently struggling with.
My Project
It can be hard to get the basics that you need, especially in this crazy time of Covid, these items are some basics I would like to give my students so they do not have to worry about when and how they will be able to get them for class. Notebooks and folders are to keep track of writing assignments and handouts, and the flashcards will get them ready to solve division and multiplication problems like pros. I feel like supplying even the smallest thing take a load off the family and puts the students mind at ease.
