My Students
I teach 52 energetic and curious 7 year-olds. We live in a small, rural town in southwestern Utah surrounded by geologic wonders and fragile desert habitat. Opportunities for jobs are limited here, but the natural resources are endless.
These kids grow up outdoors, camping, fishing, and exploring their desert backyard.
They are inspired by this fascinating landscape and love to learn about their world and their environment. Science is their favorite subject by far.
My students love their small town and their immense backyard.
My Project
These are the basic supplies I wind up buying every year for my classroom. I try to make my classroom really colorful and engaging to keep my students excited to learn!
My students LOVE using dry-erase markers for spelling practice!
I print out all their phonics activities on brightly colored paper because it makes the kids more engaged. Scissors, glue, and pencils are just the most basic necessities that we always need.
We don't have an art teacher at our school, so I teach my classes art history and painting lessons every week. I am excited to start next year off stocked with these fun supplies!
