Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are awesome! They are first graders who have learned to do many things throughout the school year. In preparation for school year 2025-2026, I am requesting the following items:
* Anchor charts: anchor charts are used in my classroom every week, and in every subject.
They serve many purposes, students can sequence events by drawing pictures, or by simply creating a timeline. Anchor charts give students the opportunity to work in groups, and learn cooperation skills. Additionally, I use anchor charts as I introduce specific concepts so that students can reference them as they are working on said skills.
*Puzzles: students learn logical/spatial skills with puzzles, and also the ability to work in groups and collaborate with one another. Puzzles are used mostly during inclement weather, and as a reward on fun Fridays.
*Headphones: we use headphones during testing, as well as, to practice specific skills online. It is a great tool that allows for students working on different strategies to concentrate.
*Canvas: canvas is used for culminating projects, as well as, a means for creative outlets.
