Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

On the first day of school, I use my Instant Camera to take pictures of the students as they arrive. These photographs are then placed on our Welcome Bulletin Board. Immediately, the classroom is welcoming and everyone feels at home. On their desk, students find a writing notebook and Language Arts folder. These materials are used throughout the school year.

In addition, many supplies must be purchased throughout the school year as they run out.

Disinfecting wipes, tissues and school supplies are always in demand. A portable dry-erase board would be helpful during small group instruction and intervention lessons. Materials for our garden will be used to replant our herb and flower garden beds at the beginning of the school year. The items listed on this project will surely help to start the year off right!
