My students come from very diverse backgrounds. All of them are considered at-risk and qualify for free preschool.
Many of my students speak a language other than English at home, are from a single parent home or live in poverty.
Children entering my classroom must be 4 by September first.
Our goal by the end of the year is to have all children kindergarten ready. We work closely with families to get them ready all year. Donors Choose would be a great way to help my students and families.
My Project
By having these materials to begin the year my students and I will be more prepared for success.
We rarely begin the school year with the supplies that we need.
Journals and locker tags along with some organizational materials will help us start off on the right foot.
The students will love seeing their name and picture on their locker, mail box and other places throughout the classroom. Having their picture and name where they can see it will make them feel more welcome and ready to begin school.
