Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Organization is key for students to be successful! I am trying to teach students how to stay organized at an early age.

My students are in a self-contained special education classroom in New York City.

They are in grades 3,4, and 5. These students require a smaller class setting to meet their needs. In a smaller setting, I am able to meet more of their individual needs and help them continue to grow. Most of these students have a difficult time staying organized. My students need privacy partitions, composition books, science journals and other supplies to get the year started on the right foot! These materials will allow them to be successful.

My Project

I am requesting these materials because these journals and notebooks will allow my students to have all of their work in one organized place. They are set up so students are able to organize a science exploration, respond to literature and be able to journal. These are all awesome materials that many of my students wouldn't be able to afford. This project will allow my students to have all of the same supplies. Many students don't have books at home and having these book bags will allow my students to take books home. This will be the first year that most of my students will be tested at the state level. These materials will allow them extra practice to get ready for the exam.

This project is so important because it will allow my students to have an even better year.

The math materials I will be able to use in the future. By donating, you are enabling my students to be organized and successful!
