Starting The School Year With Supplies

My students need notebooks, pencils, paper, and the basic supplies to beginning the new school year.

My Students

Starting a new school without basic classroom supplies can be detrimental to students confidence. Every school year I'm excited but a little worrisome because of the challenges that are facing my students. We have proud families that are doing their absolute best to buy basic supplies.

The students in my class comes from low income families.

Despite their families economic situation, they come to school with positive attitudes and an eagerness to learn. The students in my class inspire me to teach all the things they need to learn and much more. Their financial limitations prompts me to go above any situation. This will allow them to compete in our society.

My Project

These supplies will help my students progress in many ways. The pencils will provide the basic tools they need to perform writing responses. Having a basic pencil and pen will give them the freedom to have one less thing to worry about in their lives. The paper will give them excess to explore their minds and transfer the information on paper, that was learned in literacy, science, social studies or math.

Basic supplies that most people take for granted, is like getting rich over night to my students. These supplies will help increase their self-esteem. If a child's self-esteem is in place, then learning can be received at an easier pace.
