My Project
My students are bright, resilient, and full of potential. They come to school eager to learn, but many face financial hardships that make it difficult to bring even the most basic school supplies. Despite these challenges, they show up every day with energy and enthusiasm.
This project will provide my students with the essential supplies they need to start the school year off right—items like notebooks, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, folders, and more.
These basic tools are the foundation for everything we do in the classroom, from writing and math to group projects and creative work.
Many of my students come from low-income households where purchasing school supplies is not always possible. By having these materials available in the classroom, I can ensure every student begins the year with confidence, dignity, and a sense of belonging—without the worry of not having what they need.
Having consistent access to school supplies helps create a more equitable classroom environment. It allows students to focus on learning, not on what they lack. It also allows me, as their teacher, to spend less time troubleshooting material shortages and more time teaching and building relationships.
