My Students
My students are my life! For me, making their lives better and more enriched is my passion! We live in the urban city of Charlotte, and I have students of every kind. The diversity is amazing. We have students of all races, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.
My students are scholars!
Often, I get visitors observing my class, and they see a variety of things happening such as me standing on desks, singing, dancing, experiments, stations, collaborative group work, or students teaching other students. My students have a thirst for knowledge, and they always strive to fly higher than the rest! We are Ravens!
My Project
I am in need of the basics to kick off the school year right. This DonorsChoose.org project has pencils, highlighters, expo markers, pencil sharpener, and plastic page protectors. It also includes non-edible prizes. So often children are always given candy as prizes and I would like to have alternatives. I think the kids will love the fun erasers!
At the start of the school year, one way I like to establish a positive culture is to utilize a teamwork STEM activity.
The students will work in lab groups to build a book support. They will perform multiple builds together to learn from their mistakes and improve.
