Starting Our Kinder- Garden!

Help me give my students the full gardening experience this year and next! They will be able to plant seeds in the classroom and watch the growing process from the beginning!

My Project

We have a very large and useful garden space outside with many open garden beds. I would love for my kindergarten class to be completely hands-on by planting their own seeds in the classroom, watching them grow, then moving them into the planter beds outside. It will be so exciting to be able to harvest our items and/or continue to see life cycle continue year after year.

These materials will create lifelong memories for my students and will hopefully bring the joy of learning indoors and outdoors throughout our gardening adventures.

My students are full of energy and are so excited to learn. I can't wait to give them this "flavorful" experience.

Students will learn the many science related standards about what living things need and how plants grow and flourish. We will also learn about healthy eating, nutrition, and creating ideal growing environments for gardening. We can also explore the bugs that help a garden flourish.
