Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This coming school year we want to provide our students with a calm entry into the classroom. Students learn and focus better when they have had some time to decompress from the hustle and bustle of getting to school.

Studies have shown that students that have a seamless transition from arriving at school to the beginning of learning for the day are more pleasant, engaged and willing to take risks during class time.

After brainstorming with my co-teacher, we decided that it would be great for our kids to have a few minutes of quiet play as students eat breakfast and wait for our first period class to begin.

Our project is filled with puzzles, STEM games, memory games, mazes and drawing activities. All of our items have been carefully picked to provide brain stimulation and promote mindfulness.
