This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is a unique and wonderful environment for learning. We are a multicultural community where many of our students come from Bangladesh. The diversity of the students at my school is something we celebrate.
Our students are eager, motivated, and engaged in their own learning.
I teach math and science to two groups of third graders. We work together to help each other and problem solve. As their teacher, it is my mission to find ways to spark their creativity and interests.
My Project
A new year means a fresh start. We use dry erase markers and boards to work out our math problems and crayons to draw models of our learning. Unfortunately, by the first of the year, we need to replace some of our learning tools.
Each student will have their supply of crayons, erasers, and dry erase markers in a pencil case to be stored in a cart designated for their group.
Students will have everything they need at their fingertips. With each student having their own set of supplies, they will be ready to successfully take on their learning tasks.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
