My Project
After thinking I was leaving the classroom, I passed much of my supplies on to other teachers. Now, I am returning to the classroom and working in a new school. My students need to have all of the basic supplies at their fingertips to start the school year sharp!
Don't eat the markers! My 4th graders go through so many materials as we move from small groups to independent work and partner work during math and language arts that my teammates and I joke that the kids must eat the supplies. I try to provide students with opportunities to explore on their own and explain their own learning, and I want to have a space in the room for creating, writing, and researching. Supplies such as colored copy paper, a good pencil sharpener for pencils and one for colored pencils, and tons of dry erase markers, will ensure my kiddos are ready to roll and stay engaged in their learning every day.
