This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are all children with Autism. This year I currently only have first graders. They are ages six and seven.
Most of my students are non-verbal with limited communication skills!
They need different learning modalities and activities to understand their environment.
Many children with Autism have multiple therapies that the parents have to pay for out of pocket. Helping me with every day supplies can help my students and their families with the ever growing necessities of the classroom. Also this year most of my students are learning to read independently. We are asking for a comfortable area to let them read! with communication skills.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
